Aura Social Foundation exists to create a world where everyone feels they belong.
We create culturally inclusive spaces and community programs that support connection, belonging and wellbeing for migrants and culturally diverse communities.
We believe wellbeing is not only about accessing services when things become difficult. It is also about having people around you, feeling understood, being able to express yourself, and having a place where you can simply be yourself.
Through community-led programs, conversations, activities and meaningful connection, Aura brings people together to belong, participate and feel seen.

JOURNEY
Our Journey
Aura Social Foundation began with a simple belief: everyone deserves to feel like they belong.
What started as an idea to create culturally familiar spaces for migrant communities has grown into a community-led foundation creating opportunities for people to connect, express themselves and simply be themselves.
Where it began
We saw that many migrants were building new lives in Australia while carrying the emotional weight of leaving behind their familiar homes, languages, cultures and communities.
For many, asking for help can feel uncomfortable. Sometimes, what people need first isn't a formal service — it's a place where they feel understood.
That’s where Aura began.
From an idea to a community
Our first programs were created around something simple and familiar: conversation.
Through Chai & Chat, migrant seniors come together over chai, stories, activities and laughter. What began as a small community program has grown across different locations, creating spaces where seniors can meet, connect and feel part of something.
Along the way, we have met incredible people, heard countless stories and learned that sometimes the smallest moments of connection can make the biggest difference.
Growing beyond one program
As our community grew, so did Aura.
We began developing new programs and spaces for different stages of life — including Chai & Chat Unlimited, Aura Beyond and Aura Thrive.
Each program has a different purpose, but they all share the same foundation:
connection, belonging and the freedom to be seen as a person — not a label.
Where we are today
Aura Social Foundation is now building a growing network of culturally responsive community programs across Victoria.
We are proud of how far we have come, but we know this is only the beginning.
Our goal is to continue creating accessible, welcoming spaces where migrants and community members can connect, understand themselves, build meaningful relationships and feel that they truly belong.
